Job Title: Deputy Chef Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chef Manager to join our team at Anchor Hanover Group. As a Deputy Chef Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality catering services to our residents.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deputise for the Chef Manager and manage all aspects of catering, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation.
  • Supervise and train catering assistants to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to deliver excellent service.
  • Maintain compliance with food safety and health and safety procedures, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for residents and staff.
  • Minimise waste and ensure efficient use of equipment and resources.
Requirements:
  • Intermediate or level 3 food hygiene certificate with Catercraft or similar award.
  • Health and safety legislation knowledge, including COSHH and food safety standards.
  • Proven experience in chef and people management, with a track record of delivering high-quality results.
  • Basic knowledge of dietary requirements for older people.
  • Safe use of kitchen equipment, including knives.
Desirable Skills:
  • Able to negotiate, influence, and prioritise activities.
  • Flexible and innovative, with the ability to work as part of a team and individually.
