Your responsibilities

As a Site Engineer, you will be tasked with:

  • Exemplifying high standards of safety and environmental practices.
  • Overseeing chainpersons, assistants, and fellow site engineers.
  • Monitoring operations to swiftly address any unsafe conditions or non-compliance with company protocols.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with clients, designers, and our supply chain.
  • Guiding engineers on setting out methods and techniques.
  • Ensuring that 3D information drawings and specifications are comprehensive and accurate for construction.
  • Confirming that works are clearly set out prior to commencement.
  • Communicating effectively with foremen and gangers to ensure clarity of information.
  • Documenting any verbal instructions from clients or designers and maintaining detailed records of resources used for additional works.
  • Arranging formal checks of setting out and ensuring the completion of check request forms.
  • Ensuring that survey book standards and daily diaries are upheld by engineers.
  • Completing and digitally recording inspection and test plans.
  • Collaborating with the section foreman to prepare four-weekly programmes.
  • Tracking progress against the four-weekly programme and marking updates for weekly site review meetings.
  • Drafting written risk assessments and method statements for work control.
  • Maintaining a comprehensive daily site diary.
  • Carrying out material take-offs and requisitions as directed by the sub-agent or agent.
  • Ensuring all delivery tickets are accurately cost-coded and submitted to the finance team.
  • Overseeing testing and sampling of materials as per specifications.
Who are we looking for?

We seek candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • ICE Technician or Incorporated level qualification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience at the site engineer level.
  • Knowledge of government regulations regarding safety and environmental matters.
  • In-depth understanding of construction procedures and methodologies.
