Your Responsibilities

As a Site Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting a high standard for safety and environmental practices.
  • Overseeing chainpersons, assistants, and site engineers.
  • Monitoring site activities to address unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Maintaining positive relationships with clients, designers, and our supply chain.
  • Advising engineers on effective setting out methods and techniques.
  • Ensuring that 3D information drawings and specifications are complete and accurate for construction.
  • Confirming that works are clearly set out prior to commencement.
  • Communicating effectively with foremen and gangers to ensure clarity of information.
  • Documenting any verbal instructions from clients or designers and maintaining comprehensive records.
  • Arranging formal checks of setting out and completing necessary documentation.
  • Ensuring that survey standards and daily diaries are properly maintained.
  • Completing inspection and test plans and ensuring they are digitally recorded.
  • Preparing four-weekly programmes in collaboration with the section foreman.
  • Monitoring progress and marking up for review at weekly site meetings.
  • Drafting risk assessments and method statements for work control.
  • Keeping a detailed daily site diary.
  • Carrying out material take-offs and requisitions as needed.
  • Ensuring delivery tickets are accurately coded for finance processing.
  • Coordinating testing and sampling of materials as per specifications.
Candidate Profile

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and experience:

  • ICE Technician or Incorporated level qualification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Demonstrated experience at the site engineer level.
  • Knowledge of government legislation regarding safety and environmental matters.
  • Comprehensive understanding of construction procedures and methodologies.
