Your Responsibilities

As a Site Engineer, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Setting a high standard for safety and environmental practices.
  • Overseeing the work of chainpersons, assistants, and fellow site engineers.
  • Monitoring site activities to promptly address unsafe conditions and ensure compliance with company policies.
  • Maintaining effective working relationships with clients, designers, and our supply chain.
  • Advising engineers on optimal setting out methods and techniques.
  • Ensuring that 3D drawings and specifications are comprehensive and accurate for construction.
  • Confirming that works are clearly defined before commencement.
  • Communicating effectively with foremen and gangers to ensure clarity of information.
  • Documenting any verbal instructions from clients or designers and maintaining detailed records of resources used.
  • Coordinating formal checks of setting out and ensuring all documentation is completed.
  • Maintaining high standards for survey books and daily diaries.
  • Completing inspection and test plans and ensuring they are digitally recorded.
  • Preparing four-weekly programs in collaboration with the section foreman.
  • Monitoring progress against the four-weekly program and marking updates for weekly review meetings.
  • Drafting risk assessments and method statements for work control.
  • Keeping a comprehensive daily site diary.
  • Conducting material take-offs and requisitions as needed.
  • Ensuring delivery tickets are accurately coded for finance processing.
  • Overseeing testing and sampling of materials as specified.
Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

  • ICE Technician or Incorporated level qualification or equivalent (preferred).
  • Proven experience at the site engineer level.
  • Familiarity with government legislation regarding safety and environmental standards.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction procedures and methodologies.
