Key Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will provide frontline support on all areas of data protection, including advising on anti-bribery and corruption, sanctions, conflicts of interest, modern slavery, and other Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) requirements. They will also oversee the vendor due diligence process.

Reporting into the Head of Compliance, the Senior Data Protection and Compliance Officer will be responsible for:

  • Supporting stakeholders to navigate compliant use of personal data for new/existing products, services, and changes to business processes.
  • Conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and other privacy risk assessments for projects.
  • Drafting privacy notices and policies.
  • Collaborating with other teams across the organization on projects and initiatives.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have:

  • At least 6 years of experience in a data protection compliance role.

Desirable Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working in a data protection compliance role that involves the practical delivery of privacy and assessment of risk into product or service design.
  • Good practical knowledge and application of key data protection legislation, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
  • Experience assessing and drafting DPIAs and risk assessments.
  • Experience drafting privacy notices and policies.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
