Consultant Anaesthetist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Consultant Anaesthetist to join our team at King's College Hospital. As a key member of our Anaesthesia department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our services.
Main Responsibilities- Provide Anaesthesia Services: You will be responsible for delivering anaesthesia services for high-risk surgeries, working closely with our multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
- Supervise Junior Staff: As a senior anaesthetist, you will provide clinical supervision and guidance to junior medical staff, helping them to develop their skills and expertise.
- Contribute to Research and Development: You will be expected to contribute to our research and development initiatives, staying up-to-date with the latest advancements in anaesthesia and sharing your expertise with colleagues.
- Participate in Quality Improvement: You will be involved in quality improvement initiatives, working to enhance our services and improve patient outcomes.
- Lead and Manage Teams: As a consultant anaesthetist, you will be responsible for leading and managing teams of anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring that our services are delivered to the highest standards.
- FRCA or Equivalent Qualification: You must hold a Fellowship of the Royal College of Anaesthetists (FRCA) or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience in High-Risk Surgery: You must have significant experience in delivering anaesthesia for high-risk surgeries, including major and complex procedures.
- Leadership and Management Skills: You must have strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and manage teams of anaesthetists and other healthcare professionals.
- Excellent Communication Skills: You must have excellent communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and patients from diverse backgrounds.
