Senior Road Freight Operator

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Road Freight Operator to join our dynamic team at WR Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing end-to-end European road freight operations, developing strong relationships with customers and overseas agents, and ensuring the efficient and effective delivery of goods across Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and coordinate European road freight operations, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, overseas agents, and suppliers to ensure effective and efficient service delivery.
  • Plan and coordinate European groupage trailers, ensuring optimal routing and scheduling.
  • Monitor and manage profit/loss on services, identifying areas for improvement and implementing cost-saving measures.
  • Ensure compliance with EU and UK regulations and requirements regarding export/import documentation.
  • Stay up-to-date with geographic knowledge to enable efficient and effective use of transport.
  • Provide assistance and cover in other areas of the operations team as required.
  • Attend regular reviews of performance and annual appraisal meetings with manager.

Requirements:

  • Experience in freight forwarding EU road essential, with consideration given to junior candidates.
  • Good knowledge of EU road freight movements.
