Job Description:We are seeking an experienced Freight Planner to join our team. As a key member of our logistics department, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the movement of goods and materials.
Main Responsibilities:- Manage the Company's fleet of commercial vehicles and trailers, ensuring continuous roadworthiness and compliance with current legislation.
- Develop and implement effective transportation strategies to meet business objectives.
- Ensure accurate records are maintained in accordance with the Company's legal obligations.
- Manage fleet ownership and maintenance, ensuring all vehicles and trailers are properly inspected and maintained.
- Conduct Transport Risk Assessments and Safe Working Practices.
- Experience in freight planning and management.
- Knowledge of vehicle weights and legal limits.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel at entry level.
- Flexible approach to hours of work.
