About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Occupational Therapist to join our team at Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust. As a Paediatric Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in supporting children with a range of needs to participate in occupations of childhood.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate a range of OT interventions to support children with a range of needs.
  • Develop integrated care plans in partnership with the child, young person, and/or family, recommending and supporting interventions that are appropriate at a universal, targeted, and specialist level.
  • Work as a member of a multi-disciplinary and multi-agency team to provide high-quality care to children and young people in line with our care pathways.
  • Manage a caseload of children on a daily basis, including those with complex needs.
  • Participate in clinical supervision and work as part of an integrated team with Therapy Assistants, OTs, PTs, SLTs, Care Co-ordinators, and Specialist Nurse Advisors, offering support to colleagues as appropriate to knowledge and skills.
  • Support and make recommendations to senior managers to prioritize and focus efforts to drive forward and achieve business objectives, service improvement strategies, and statutory requirements.
