Job Title: Team Lead, Warehouse

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Team Lead to join our Warehouse team at DSV. As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for leading a team of warehouse operatives and ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead a team of warehouse operatives to achieve business targets and objectives
  • Coordinate workloads and provide support to ensure the team delivers
  • Monitor issues and ensure production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are met
  • Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements
  • Ensure inventories are accurate and stock movements are recorded correctly
  • Support organizing and participating in stock takes at regular intervals
  • Identify systems improvements and make recommendations for change
  • Resolve issues or problems that occur in the warehouse
  • Produce regular reports and statistics as required
  • Assist in planning future capacity requirements
  • Ensure health and safety meets required standards
  • Ensure all lifting and manoeuvring of products and materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures
  • Ensure vehicles, machinery, and equipment are well maintained and fit for purpose
  • Maintain high standards of security in the warehouse
  • Ensure a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency

Requirements:

  • Team Leader skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and supervise others
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Good IT skills, particularly in spreadsheets and databases, and a knowledge of warehouse systems
  • Analytical and numerical skills
  • Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure or cost of poor quality
  • Good planning skills and able to meet targets and deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail skills
