Warehouse Operations Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to join our team at DSV. This is an excellent opportunity to be part of a driven and successful company with strong ambitions and targets for sustainability initiatives.
About the Role:
The Warehouse Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operation of a section within the warehouse function, supporting the Management Team, and ensuring an efficient warehouse operation in achieving business targets. The successful candidate will have previous experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, supervising and motivating a team, and will possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Efficiency: Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation that fulfils operational and customer demand and meets set targets.
- Team Management: Provide line management to the team, coordinating their workloads, providing support, monitoring any issues, and ensuring production targets, KPIs, and quality standards are met.
- Health and Safety: Ensure health and safety meets required standards, including manual handling procedures, vehicle maintenance, and security protocols.
- Inventory Management: Ensure inventories are accurate, stock movements are recorded accurately, and participate in regular stock takes.
- Reporting and Analysis: Produce regular reports and statistics as required, assist in planning future capacity requirements, and identify systems improvements.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Leadership Experience: Proven experience as a Warehouse Team Leader, supervising and motivating a team.
- Communication Skills: Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and develop others.
- Technical Knowledge: Good understanding of warehouse systems, lean techniques, and a fork lift truck license may be required.
- Education: GCSEs Level A-C, NVQ Level 2, or equivalent qualification.
