Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Summary
DSV is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Warehouse Team Lead to join our team at Mercia Park – Unit 5. As a key member of our warehouse operations, you will be responsible for leading a team of operators and ensuring the efficient operation of the warehouse.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Management Team in the day-to-day operation of the warehouse, focusing on achieving business targets and ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Provide line management to the team, coordinating workloads, and providing support to ensure that the team delivers.
- Develop the team by focusing on individual performance and support requirements to achieve high standards.
- Assist in running an efficient warehouse operation, ensuring that inventories are accurate, and stock movements are recorded correctly.
- Train new Warehouse operatives and ensure that they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties effectively.
- Identify areas for improvement and make recommendations for change to enhance the overall efficiency of the warehouse operation.
- Ensure that health and safety standards are met, and that all lifting and manoeuvring of products and materials is carried out in accordance with manual handling procedures.
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment to aid operational efficiency.
Requirements
- Team Leader skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and supervise others.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good IT skills, particularly in spreadsheets and databases, and a knowledge of warehouse systems.
- Analytical and numerical skills.
- Good understanding of customer deliverables and the impact of failure or cost of poor quality.
- Good planning skills and able to meet targets and deadlines.
- Excellent attention to detail skills.
