Your Responsibilities

Key Duties:

Conducting tender processes utilizing various contract types. Managing measurements, valuations, variations, payment applications, and final accounts. Overseeing sub-contractor procurement, including contract types and purchase orders. Collaborating closely with internal and external stakeholders to provide updates on ongoing projects. Coordinating with the SFRS commercial team to ensure timely invoicing and preparation of final accounts for all projects. Providing guidance and support to on-site contractors to ensure compliance with company standards and practices. Identifying potential risks associated with project execution and reporting contractual and commercial risk situations to management. Maintaining trackers for tenders, purchase orders, contracts, consultant agreements, and related documentation.

Required Qualifications:

Degree qualified with a minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar capacity. RICS qualification preferred but not mandatory. Proficient understanding of NEC4, SBCC, and JCT contract forms, with essential NEC4 knowledge and advantageous experience in NEC4 FM services contracts. Proven experience in successfully managing construction projects across various sectors, either independently or as part of a larger team. Ability to effectively communicate necessary information to sub-contractors and clients. Familiarity with current Safety, Health & Environmental regulations and quality standards. Solid understanding of the construction process and contract administration.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

You will be responsible for overseeing the commercial aspects of SFRS projects, from arranging tenders and securing client approvals to contractor engagement and project completion, including final accounts. Your role will involve meeting production, profitability, safety, and quality demands while managing contractors to achieve predetermined targets in health and safety, scope, quality, and production. You will ensure adherence to designs and specifications, handling projects with values ranging from £500 to £1 million, including extensions, modular buildings, internal remodels/refurbishments, M&E enhancements, re-roofing, and yard resurfacing. Promoting a collaborative working relationship between the project team and client representatives will be essential to ensure that our projects are consistently presented to the highest standards.
