We are a large and innovative primary care practice serving a patient population of 17,000 across four sites in West Lancashire. Job Summary
We are seeking a forward-thinking and enthusiastic Business Development Manager/Practice Manager to join our team. The successful candidate will have proven experience in contractual and financial management, including budgeting and forecasting, and be able to communicate and work positively with patients, staff, and network colleagues to maximise opportunities for developing the practice and the range and quality of clinical services we can offer to our patients.
Main Responsibilities
The Business Development Manager/Practice Manager will be responsible for the overall management and coordination of the Practice, managing staff to ensure the efficient running of the Practice. This will include financial accountability, property management, organisational and governance responsibilities, HR/workforce management, patient access, and information technology management/governance.
Key Skills and Qualifications
- Good standard of education with excellent literacy, information technology, and numeracy skills
- Ability to identify and negotiate opportunities to enhance service delivery
- Excellent communication skills (written, oral, and presenting)
- Strong IT skills
- Excellent leadership skills, including chairing meetings and facilitating group work
- Ability to understand and implement HR policies, staff rights, and responsibilities, and ability to take necessary action in line with HR policies and procedures
- Strategic thinker and negotiator with the ability to develop services
- Ability to motivate staff even under challenging circumstances
- Ability to prioritise, delegate, and work to tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to represent the organisation in a professional and capable manner
- Ability to document and keep accurate records of all aspects of HR and organisational matters
