Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team at Raytheon Technologies. This role is pivotal in supporting the design, development, and integration of advanced weapon systems. As a key member of our engineering team, you will operate primarily in a workshop and laboratory setting, contributing to various projects and initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
In this position, you will engage in a variety of tasks that include:
- Complying with Company Health and Safety regulations and policies.
- Performing mechanical assembly, modifications, and repairs of hardware components.
- Conducting regular inspections of tools and machinery to ensure operational efficiency.
- Executing mechanical and electrical testing procedures.
- Completing necessary documentation and maintenance records accurately.
- Understanding quality standards and proactively reporting any issues or observations.
- Occasionally working at locations outside the main facility.
Required Qualifications
Essential Skills
- Proven experience in an electrical and mechanical technician role.
- Ability to adhere to strict Environmental Health and Safety procedures.
- Proficiency in using tools for the repair and manufacture of equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Basic proficiency in computer applications, including Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with electronic and mechanical systems.
- Experience in an Aerospace or Defence environment.
- Valid Driver's License.
- UK Passport.
- Willingness to travel as required.
