Role Responsibilities
As an Engineering Technician, you will collaborate with a team of engineers in a workshop and laboratory setting. This position offers a diverse range of tasks, complemented by on-the-job training.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Adhering to company health and safety policies and regulations.
- Conducting mechanical assembly, modification, and repair of hardware.
- Performing regular inspections of tools and machinery.
- Executing mechanical and electrical testing procedures.
- Completing necessary documentation and maintenance records.
- Understanding quality standards and proactively reporting any issues.
- Opportunities to work off-site may arise occasionally.
Required Skills
Essential Qualifications
- Proven experience in an electrical and mechanical technician role.
- Ability to follow stringent environmental health and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using tools for equipment repair and manufacturing.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications
- Knowledge of electronic and mechanical systems.
- Experience in an aerospace or defence environment.
- Valid driver's license.
- UK passport.
- Willingness to travel as needed.
