Senior Social Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Senior Social Worker to join our Fostering Service team. As a Senior Social Worker, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the well-being and safety of children in foster care.
Key Responsibilities:- Work closely with foster carers to provide support and guidance to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
- Conduct thorough assessments of applicants to determine their suitability as foster carers.
- Develop and implement personalized support plans for foster carers to help them meet the needs of children in their care.
- Collaborate with other professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
- Provide regular supervision and support to foster carers to help them navigate the challenges of caring for children with complex needs.
- Social Work Degree (BA/BSc/MA/MSc) or equivalent.
- Social Work England registration.
- Experience working with families in a social work setting.
- Strong assessment and case management skills.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and advocacy skills.
- Ability to build positive relationships with families.
- Commitment to working in a strengths-based approach.
- Knowledge of family support interventions and models.
- Experience working with diverse communities.
- Understanding of relevant legislation and policies (e.g., Children Act 1989, Working Together to Safeguard Children).
- Experience using case management software.
- Experience working with families facing specific challenges (e.g., domestic violence, substance misuse, mental health issues).
- Competitive hourly rate of £35.
