We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker/Approved Mental Health Professional to join our community mental health team at Wakefield Council.
About the RoleThis is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multidisciplinary team, providing assessment, intervention, and care planning for older adults experiencing mental health difficulties. As a Senior Social Worker/AMHP, you will be responsible for undertaking risk assessments, developing person-centred care plans, and working collaboratively with other professionals to ensure effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Undertake assessments, including risk assessments, and develop care plans that meet the needs of service users.
- Work collaboratively with other professionals to ensure effective service delivery and achieve positive outcomes for service users.
- Provide supervision and support to junior staff members and students.
- Participate in and support a team and a MHA – AMHP rota.
- Degree in Social Work or relevant Social Work qualifications recognised by the Central Council for Education & Training in Social Work/Registration with SWE.
- Evidence of maintaining skill and knowledge base in professional field through post qualifying training or other opportunities.
- Ability to develop and sustain effective working relationships with service users, carers, and groups.
- Excellent communication and engagement skills with a commitment to improving service delivery.
