We are seeking a highly skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in Harrogate Town Centre. As a Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, processing accounts payable and receivable, and reconciling bank statements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate financial records and ensure compliance with all relevant regulations.
  • Process accounts payable and receivable using Sage accounting software.
  • Reconcile bank statements and manage cash flow.
  • Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely payments.
  • Handle VAT returns and other tax-related documentation.
  • Support the preparation of budgets and forecasts.
  • Assist with credit control.
  • Liaise with external auditors and provide necessary documentation.
  • Perform general administrative tasks related to finance.
  • Undertake additional PA duties for the Directors as required.
Requirements
  • Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in Sage accounting software.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Relevant qualifications in accounting or finance are preferred.
