Overview

This is an exceptional opportunity for a full-time Consultant in General Adult Psychiatry to join the High Peak Living Well Community Mental Health Team.

The role involves collaborating closely with a multidisciplinary team, emphasizing high-quality care, peer support, and active participation in service development and management. We are looking for candidates who are enthusiastic about innovation, education, and professional growth, and who can effectively work alongside colleagues from diverse professional backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in the Department of General Adult Psychiatry, providing clinical leadership and supporting ongoing service advancements.

The Consultant will engage closely with both medical and non-medical colleagues from community, inpatient, and liaison services, as well as local specialist services, to facilitate crisis referrals, assessments, and post-discharge home treatment.

Essential Qualifications

  • MB BS or equivalent medical qualification
  • Full registration with GMC and a valid license
  • Approved clinician status

  • Proven ability to work effectively in and lead a team
