The primary function of the Inventory Control Specialist is to guarantee precise and effective management of Point of Sale (POS) inventory within the warehouse. This role requires close collaboration with various departments to support the overall business operations related to POS. These items are vital to our brand and marketing initiatives. This is a hands-on position that entails full responsibility for the maintenance and cleanliness of the items, as well as monitoring stock levels, coordinating the intake and delivery of new inventory, maintaining accurate records, ensuring quality assurance, and preparing inventory reports. The Inventory Control Specialist will also focus on the continuous enhancement of inventory processes, managing returns, and ensuring that stock is promptly available after returns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inventory Oversight: Ensure accurate monitoring and maintenance of POS stock levels.
  • Stock Management: Coordinate and oversee the timely intake and delivery of new POS from suppliers.
  • Data Management: Accurately input inventory data into the system, maintaining comprehensive records of stock movements and updating inventory management software.
  • Quality Assurance: Inspect incoming stock for quality and quantity against purchase orders, ensuring cleanliness and proper maintenance of POS items, and facilitating necessary repairs and replacements.
  • Warehouse Collaboration: Work alongside the warehouse team to ensure efficient handling, appropriate storage, and accurate picking and packing of orders.
  • Reporting: Generate weekly reports on stock levels, movements, and inventory performance for the Procurement Manager.
  • Process Improvement: Identify and implement enhancements to inventory control procedures to minimize waste and ensure all POS items are fit for purpose, representing the brand at the highest standard.
  • Monthly Audits: Conduct monthly stock counts to verify inventory accuracy.
  • POS Upkeep: Responsible for the cleaning and maintenance of POS, including dry cleaning and liaising with cleaning suppliers as necessary.
  • Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely and efficient stock delivery and negotiate favorable terms.
  • Budget Management: Oversee the inventory budget, ensuring cost-effective management practices.
  • Technology Utilization: Assist with the implementation and use of inventory management software and tools to streamline operations and enhance accuracy.
  • Returns Processing: Manage the process for returned goods, ensuring efficient handling and accurate re-entry into inventory or appropriate disposal.
  • Forecasting Assistance: Collaborate with sales and procurement teams on stock forecasting needs and monitor wastage.
  • Travel: Travel to various locations as required.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Demonstrated experience in maintaining accurate stock levels, preferably in a luxury sector.
  • Familiarity with luxury materials and products is a plus.
  • Proven ability to manage the timely intake and delivery of new POS from suppliers.
  • Strong skills in accurately entering inventory data and maintaining detailed records.
  • Effective collaboration with warehouse teams for efficient stock handling and order fulfillment.
  • History of identifying and implementing process improvements in inventory control.
  • Experience in developing strong supplier relationships for timely stock delivery.
  • Expertise in managing the returns process for goods.
  • A Forklift license is essential for this role.
  • A car is necessary due to inventory being located at various sites.
