About the Role

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Transport Operations team as a Transport Operations Coordinator. This role will play a critical part in ensuring the smooth operation of our transportation network, supporting our drivers and stores to deliver exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transport Operations Coordination: Coordinate and manage the transportation of goods and materials between stores and distribution centers, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Driver Support: Provide support to our drivers, including briefing and debriefing, to ensure they have all the necessary information and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Store Communication: Communicate with stores to ensure they have all the necessary information and resources to receive and process deliveries.
  • Vehicle Maintenance: Ensure that all vehicles and trailers are roadworthy and compliant with safety regulations.
  • Incident Management: Manage and resolve any incidents or issues that may arise during transportation, including breakdowns and delays.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with other teams, including maintenance and breakdown services, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Experience: 12 months of experience in a transport or logistics environment, preferably in a coordinator or assistant role.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
  • Education: Relevant qualifications or training in transport, logistics, or a related field.
