Job Summary:

Berry Recruitment is seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to fill the role of Head of Legal Practice. This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned leader to join our team and contribute to the growth and success of our organization.

About the Role:

  • Implement and monitor compliance processes and systems, including GDPR, AML, and practice-wide policies, to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate risk.
  • Supervise legal transactions and matters carried out by others to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of compliance breaches and take corrective action as necessary.
  • Prevent and address conflicts of interest and improper influence, ensuring the integrity of our operations.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of complaints-handling procedures, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Act as a key point of contact for compliance matters, providing expert guidance and support to the organization.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Paralegals and support staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
  • Oversee a wide range of residential conveyancing matters, including sales and purchases of freehold and leasehold properties, re-mortgaging, and property finance.
  • Contribute to business development and networking activities, driving the strategic growth of the department.
  • Maintain and develop relationships with clients, agents, and other stakeholders, ensuring the firm's reputation for excellence and personalized service is upheld.
  • Drive process improvements and implement best practices to enhance efficiency, compliance, and client satisfaction.

About You:

  • Demonstrated leadership experience with the ability to inspire and lead a team effectively.
  • A proven track record of handling complex residential property transactions with meticulous attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building strong relationships and delivering exceptional client service.
  • A strategic thinker with a proactive approach to problem-solving and team development.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Asset Protection Trust / Lifetime Discretionary Trust.
