HR Advisor Job Description

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join our busy and thriving college. As an HR Advisor, you will provide generalist HR advice, support, and guidance to managers and staff in your business areas, including recruitment, absence, conditions of service, policies, employment legislation, and best practice.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on employment legislation, policies, and best practice.
  • Support the HR Manager in the development and implementation of HR policies and procedures.
  • Work closely with the in-house Payroll Team to prepare and check monthly HR information ready for payroll.
  • Support the Learning and Development Business Partner and Diversity and Inclusion Manager in taking forward the learning and development and equality, diversity, and inclusion agendas for the college.
  • Experience of working within the Education sector and knowledge of safer recruitment and safeguarding in relation to young people is desirable.

Requirements:

  • Member of the CIPD and qualified to Level 5 or equivalent.
  • High level of IT skills and competent user of HR software packages.
  • Problem-solving skills and ability to quickly build relationships with internal and external customers.
