About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Application Support Analyst to join our Umbrella Functional Consulting & Support Team in Central London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing technical support and maintenance for our IT applications, ensuring seamless operation and optimal performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resolve IT application incidents, service requests, and problems promptly and efficiently.
  • Collaborate with the Service Centre to investigate and resolve issues using maintenance, support, and incident management processes.
  • Liaise with IT suppliers to ensure timely resolution of incidents and optimize application performance.
  • Monitor application availability, performance, and throughput, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Prioritize and schedule support tasks to ensure timely completion and minimize downtime.
  • Provide ad-hoc training to end-users on application usage and best practices.
  • Ensure capacity, availability, security, and support requirements are considered in changes to IT applications.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in a similar role in the financial services sector, with a strong understanding of IT application support and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with IT suppliers and end-users.
  • Knowledge of ITIL v3 Foundation principles and experience working in an ITIL-aligned environment.
  • Experience with IT Service Management tools such as Service Now, JIRA, or IVANTI would be highly beneficial.
