Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Social Worker to join our Children's Safeguarding Team in Cheshire. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality social work services to children and families in need.

Responsibilities:

  • Producing comprehensive court reports to ensure the best interests of children are represented.
  • Attending and participating in Looked After Children (LAC) Reviews, Case Conferences, and Child Protection meetings to ensure effective collaboration and decision-making.
  • Working closely with the Public Law Outline (PLO) to ensure the best possible outcomes for children.
  • Conducting Section 47 investigations to identify and mitigate risks to children's safety and well-being.
  • Completing Core Assessments to inform decision-making and develop effective support plans.

Requirements:

  • Post-qualifying experience of working within a statutory Children's Safeguarding Social Work team in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of child protection procedures and legislation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Enhanced DBS clearance (we can assist with the application process).
