Lead Engineer

Closure Systems & Mechanisms

Automotive Sector

We are collaborating with a prestigious vehicle manufacturer focused on electric vehicles in the search for a Lead Engineer specializing in Closure Systems & Mechanisms.

The primary duties of this position involve facilitating the integration, design, and development of components and systems for cutting-edge vehicles. You will be responsible for creating and adjusting geometry to effectively communicate concepts and designs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Chief Engineer in all daily operations related to Body in White (BIW) and exterior components.
  • Generate engineering hard points.
  • Conduct benchmarking of competitor vehicles and compile reports on findings.
  • Lead the creation of 3D and 2D models for closure and mechanism engineering.
  • Perform design surface feasibility checks and provide guidance on feasibility.
  • Engage in cross-functional integration reviews for components and systems.

Qualifications Required:

  • A relevant engineering degree or equivalent experience in a similar position.
  • Demonstrated experience in automotive or motorsport applications, ideally within an OEM, Tier 1 supplier, or consultancy, with proficiency in CAD software (Catia).
  • Experience in the complete vehicle development cycle, particularly in closure and mechanism activities.
