Job Summary

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Process Engineering Leader to lead a significant part of our Global Process Engineering team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the delivery of process development and manufacturing technology across a range of critical manufacturing processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement process design and implementation for battery manufacturing, including electrode manufacturing, cell assembly, FA&T, and automation.
  • Lead the technical process development and design management, validation, and industrialization of process equipment.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and vendors to meet SQCDEP objectives.
  • Recruit, develop, coach, and lead a world-class team of process engineers.
  • Represent the GPE function internally and work with a diverse, international team to deliver excellence across the business.
  • Define and own the technology roadmap for process areas, driving innovation and bringing next-gen manufacturing technology to the shop floor.
Requirements
  • Demonstrated ability to lead engineering teams at a senior level with an outstanding approach to modern leadership principles.
  • Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline (mechanical, chemical, electrical).
  • Proven experience of building a team from the ground up or having led a significant people transformation program.
  • Experience of leading significant CAPEX programs from conception to delivery.
  • Process Engineering leadership experience in a lithium-ion battery manufacturing environment or a complimentary industry with a detailed understanding of manufacturing and engineering principles and practices.
  • Experience of manufacturing operations, production management, and key operations excellence principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to engage and influence at all levels of the business, and simplify complex problems for a wide business audience.
  • A proven capability at driving step-change process improvements for quality, yield, cost, space utilization, OEE, etc.
  • Ability to work both tactically and strategically, managing long and short-term objectives and deliverables.
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and change in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
