* Contribute to the leadership of the council, promoting a one-organisation approach and driving strategic priorities forward.
* Develop and maintain positive relationships with colleagues, stakeholders, and communities to ensure effective implementation of the council's strategic priorities.
* Promote equality and inclusivity among all staff, ensuring services are delivered in a non-discriminatory way.
* Lead and participate in all service/team activities, ensuring alignment with the council's corporate priorities and outcomes.

Requirements:

* Relevant professional qualification or equivalent experience in leading the coordination of functions in the corporate centre or directorates.
* Demonstrable expert understanding of the national and local social and economic context for and operations of social and public policy related to VCS/Cohesion/Engagement/Consultation.
