Parking Enforcement Specialist

Brackenberry Ltd is seeking a skilled Representations Officer to join our client, a Local Authority in Southwark. This is a temporary contract role for an initial period of three months, with the strong possibility of extension at the client's discretion.
Rate of Pay: £24.54 per Hour
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough investigations and provide comprehensive responses to all parking-related correspondence, encompassing formal and informal representations and appeals stemming from the enforcement of Penalty Charge Notices (PCNs) issued to motorists.
- Ensure that all other parking inquiries are handled efficiently and in accordance with statutory procedures, internal key performance indicators (KPIs), Civil Procedural Rules (CPR 75), and the council's communication protocols. This commitment ensures a high standard of customer service for residents and visitors of Southwark.
- Represent the client at external Adjudication Hearings by providing evidence, preparing proofs of evidence, and developing strategic plans for complex cases as outlined in relevant legislation.
- Manage incoming parking permit applications and parking control suspension requests (including information gathering) within the stipulated timeframes set by appeals and representations managers.
- Provide exceptional customer service by answering phone calls at the specialized parking customer service center. This includes addressing emails, handling parking permits, managing parking control suspensions, and resolving Paybyphone inquiries. Effectively address resident and visitor requests and issues in a timely and clear manner.
- Possess education equivalent to GCSE level Maths and English or demonstrate proven experience in parking enforcement and appeals legislation.
- Exhibit excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Have a proven track record of working in a customer service or administrative environment, with experience composing formal correspondence.
