About the Role

Vision for Education is seeking a dedicated and experienced Cover Supervisor to join our team of education professionals working in secondary schools across Paignton.

As a Cover Supervisor, you will play a vital role in supporting the education of students in the absence of the teacher, ensuring a consistent continuation of education and maintaining a positive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver pre-set work for a variety of subjects to students in Key Stage 3 and/or Key Stage 4 classes.
  • Assist and support students in their learning, promoting a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure a smooth transition of lessons and maintain student engagement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with students, teachers, and other school staff.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • A degree qualification.
  • Experience working with young people in some capacity, such as coaching or mentoring.
  • A passion for working with children and young people.
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage with students and colleagues.
  • A flexible approach to work, with the ability to think on your feet and use your initiative.
