About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Energy Transition Analyst to join our team at National Energy System Operator (NESO). As a key member of our Foresight Research team, you will play a crucial role in developing our research base and innovating our research and analysis methodologies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop research methodologies and conduct research into strategic indicators for the energy transition, including identifying uncertainties and their possible consequences.
  • Build collaborative and fruitful relationships with experts within the organisation and externally to source knowledge, research, data, and intelligence.
  • Capture research and analysis in high-quality products.
  • Collaborate with Foresight Strategist to support the development of inferences and conclusions, and with the wider strategy and policy directorate.
Requirements
  • Strong research skills, including in designing and applying a range of research methodologies.
  • Familiarity with data analysis, AI technologies, and visualisation techniques to analyse information and present findings.
  • Ability to proactively engage with colleagues to understand their needs and build products that are tailored to those needs.
What We Offer

We offer a competitive salary between £46,000 – 65,000 – dependent on experience and capability. As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus based on company performance, 26 days annual leave as standard and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
