Job Title: Flexible Night Lead

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Flexible Night Lead to join our team at Mars, Incorporated and its Affiliates. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for leading and developing a team of 30-35 Operations associates to deliver Value-Stream KPIs and project initiatives under our Great Plants, Great People, Great Pipelines strategy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead an operations shift team within a Value Stream to deliver priority KPIs including Safety and Quality & Food Safety through effective prioritization, escalation, and decision-making.
  • Provide line management for a team of operations associates; allocate work, manage crewing levels, and drive flexible working, conduct training, and ensure that all attendance, performance, and disciplinary matters are dealt with in accordance with company procedures.
  • Build a high-performing team through developing associates individually and within the team. Develop associates through effective PDP management to ensure functional, team, and personal development.
  • Develop and lead business communication in your area, working with management and support functions to deliver effective messaging and feedback.
  • Collaborate within the Value Stream team to lead and partner in Continuous Improvement and OPEX projects, driving improvements in efficiency and other line KPIs.
  • Work within, and be a role model for Mars Policies and Practices and the 5P.
  • Work closely with other Team Leaders on shift to ensure that resource is deployed efficiently to deliver required shift performance at both line and factory level.
