Responsibilities

As a Children's Support Worker, your key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting, safeguarding, and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people
  • Assisting with daily routines, including working in the community and/or educational settings
  • Organising and facilitating social activities
  • Transportation and working alongside a multi-disciplinary team to implement safe practice
  • Offering high levels of supervision and support, while managing complex behaviours and crisis intervention
  • Contributing to the young person's care plans and risk assessments, reviews, and implementation
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A minimum of 6 months post-qualification experience working within a child and/or young adult setting
  • To be over the age of 21 to meet industry regulations
  • Knowledge in one of the following areas: EBD, SEMH, CSE, or SEN/SEND
  • A Diploma level 3 in children's and young people, with a desirable level 4
  • An enhanced DBS, which you can apply for upon registration (cost of which £45.40, refunded after a set period of work)
  • A Full UK Driving Licence with access to your own vehicle
