The successful candidate will play a vital role in ensuring that students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs remain engaged in their learning during teacher absences.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise students in the absence of the regular class teacher, maintaining a positive and focused learning environment.
- Follow lesson plans and help students stay on track with their work, promoting academic success.
- Encourage participation in both classroom and outdoor learning activities, fostering social, emotional, and mental well-being.
- Support students' social, emotional, and mental well-being through positive interactions and effective communication.
- Manage classroom behaviour in a calm and supportive manner, adhering to the school's Behaviour Policy.
- Work flexibly across different subjects and adapt to the varying needs of students, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability.
- Previous experience working with children or young people with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs is preferred.
- Confidence and enthusiasm for working with students in a classroom setting, possessing strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong classroom management skills and the ability to create a positive learning environment, with excellent communication skills.
- A passion for outdoor activities and a willingness to engage in the school's outdoor learning programs, enhancing student engagement.
- Flexibility and adaptability to work across different subjects and support various needs, prioritising student welfare.
- A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people, upholding the school's Safeguarding Policy.
We offer a competitive salary of £95-£115 per hour, providing an immediate start for the right candidate. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a rewarding and supportive environment, making a real difference in the lives of our students.
