About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our local Engineering team in Dumfries. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance activities, including reactive, planned, and improvement work, to ensure the smooth operation of our plant equipment and process machinery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out all work to Company and Legislative Safety, Compliance, and Environmental procedures.
  • Be an effective communicator with all team members.
  • Responsible for the electrical maintenance of our plant equipment and process machinery, including PLCs and Electrical Drive Systems.
  • Assist in training of apprentices, including acting as mentor and defining best practices.
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Educated to City & Guild or SVQ Level 3 (Electrical) and be a time-served electrician.
  • Trained to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be advantageous.
  • Have held a similar role within an Industrial Environment post qualification.
  • Have a working basic understanding of ventilation, pneumatic, hydraulic, and steam service systems.
Desirable Skills
  • Detailed understanding of Siemens PLC logic, programming, fault diagnosis, and repair.
  • Previous work with Industrial Robotics.
  • Detailed knowledge of plant equipment safety and interlocking functions.
  • Demonstrable ability to follow written processes and procedures.
