About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Electrical Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Gates Corporation. As an Electrical Maintenance Specialist, you will be responsible for the electrical maintenance of our plant equipment and process machinery, including PLC's and Electrical Drive Systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out electrical maintenance activities in accordance with Company and Legislative Safety, Compliance and Environmental procedures.
  • Be an effective communicator with all team members.
  • Assist in training of apprentices, including acting as mentor and defining best practices.
Requirements
  • Educated to City & Guild or SVQ Level 3 (Electrical) and be a time-served electrician.
  • Trained to 18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be advantageous.
  • Have held a similar role within an Industrial Environment post qualification.
  • Have a working basic understanding of ventilation, pneumatic, hydraulic and steam service systems.
Desirable Skills
  • Detailed understanding of Siemens PLC logic, programming, fault diagnosis and repair.
  • Previous work with Industrial Robotics.
  • Detailed knowledge of plant equipment safety and interlocking functions.
  • Demonstrable ability to follow written processes and procedures.
