Job Title: Senior Sister/Charge Nurse (Band 6 Equivalent)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse. This is a full-time position working a mixture of shifts at 37.5 hours per week.

About the Role

As a Senior Sister/Charge Nurse, you will work with our Ground Floor nursing teams and report directly to the Head of Department. You will support the multi-disciplinary team and junior nursing teams in caring for people of all ages who are living with neurological and long-term conditions, including those living with physical disabilities and recovering from traumatic injuries.

You will join our teams that support people who have complex rehabilitation needs such as tracheostomies, ventilated patients, and peg feeds, and who have extensive and long-term rehabilitation goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the multi-disciplinary team and junior nursing teams in caring for people with neurological and long-term conditions
  • Work with our Ground Floor nursing teams and report directly to the Head of Department
  • Provide a high level of personal and rehabilitative care to patients
  • Support the development and implementation of individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery
Person Specification
  • NMC registration RGN
  • Experience working with neurological patients
  • Strong team-working skills
  • A high level of self-motivation and a flexible approach
  • A positive attitude and be naturally caring and compassionate
  • A commitment to high-quality care and to values and evidence-based practice
  • Minimum of 2 years experience post-registration
  • Demonstrable leadership skills
