Residential Care Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Worker to join our team at Essex County Council. As a Residential Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to children and young people with disabilities.
About the Role:This is an exciting opportunity to join our overnight short breaks residential provision, where you will work with a team to deliver good quality care and support to young people. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of care and support, working with children and families directly, and managing challenging behavior using de-escalation techniques.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide high-quality care and support to children and young people with disabilities
- Work with children and families directly to ensure the delivery of good quality care
- Manage challenging behavior using de-escalation techniques
- Collaborate with the team to deliver good quality care and support
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a Level 3 Diploma in a relevant field, or be willing to complete this within 2 years of starting employment. You will also need to have effective written and verbal communication skills, and be able to work flexibly, including early and late shifts.
