About the role:

Are you a compassionate, dynamic, and enthusiastic individual who enjoys teamwork? If you are looking for a role that makes a difference and brings pride, then a position as a Care Assistant may be ideal for you.

In this role, you will assist individuals with Autism, Learning Disabilities, Behavioral Challenges, Physical Disabilities, Mental Health Issues, Epilepsy, and Complex Needs.

The individuals we support may exhibit challenging behaviors, so the ability to remain calm and composed in all situations is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

Encourage participation in chosen activities and interests, assisting individuals in community engagement. Organize scheduled activities for those we support, using personalized plans and coordinating with others to ensure attendance at appointments. Provide support and assistance with personal care, promoting independence whenever possible. Foster the development of proactive strategies to maintain emotional well-being and mental health. Ensure all documentation is accurate and current, including incident reports, daily logs, and financial records.

Role Requirements:

Strong communication and listening skills, as you will be supporting individuals who may use various communication methods. Experience or a desire to support individuals with Mental Health, Learning Disabilities, or Challenging Behaviors is essential. Basic understanding of the English language, including literacy and numeracy skills equivalent to GCSE level. A commitment to personal development and ongoing training.

All staff working in services registered with Care Inspectorate for Wales (CIW) must register with Social Care Wales and be prepared to pursue the necessary qualifications for registration.
