About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at Be Caring. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting individuals with learning disabilities to live happy and fulfilled lives within their local communities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support and Enablement: Provide person-centred tailored support that promotes choice, independence, and the individual's voice.
  • Community Involvement: Encourage and guide individuals to take small but brave steps towards learning new skills, meeting new people, and attending local community groups.
  • Personal Development: Support individuals to become as independent as possible, making their own choices, decisions, and managing their finances.
  • Safety and Wellbeing: Have the individual's best interests at heart, protecting their privacy and dignity.
What We Offer
  • Competitive Pay: £11.50 p/hr (non-complex rate) - £12.00 p/hr (complex rate)
  • Mileage Reimbursement: 45p per mile (drivers) / 20p per mile (cyclists)
  • Bonus Schemes: Up to £300 new starter, £300 Refer a Friend, £300 annual bonus. £25 birthday gift voucher.
  • Training and Development: Paid induction training, additional specialist training, and funded Level 3 and other accredited courses.
  • Benefits: Fully funded DBS, paid holiday pay, employee assistance programme, and union membership (optional).
Requirements
  • Personality and Skills: A warm and welcoming smile, kind and compassionate nature, and excellent communication skills.
  • Experience: No prior experience or care qualifications required, but a can-do attitude and willingness to learn are essential.
