Job Opportunity: ST4+ Registrar in General and Neonatal Pediatrics

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pediatrician to join our team at the Royal Berkshire NHS Foundation Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and supportive environment, providing high-quality care to children and their families.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day clinical management of children on acute children's wards, covering pediatric issues in the Accident & Emergency Unit, and supervising and teaching junior doctors. They will also be required to provide out-of-hours coverage for neonatal and general pediatrics, triage, assessment, and management of admitted children, and be responsible for discharge and care planning.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Provide high-quality patient care, ensuring the best possible outcomes for children and their families
  • Work collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to deliver excellent patient care
  • Supervise and teach junior doctors, promoting their professional development and growth
  • Participate in teaching medical students and trainees, contributing to the education and training of the next generation of healthcare professionals
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of clinical policies and procedures, ensuring that care is delivered in accordance with best practice
Requirements:
  • Registration with the General Medical Council
  • MBBS or equivalent
  • ST3 experience in Pediatrics
  • Previous Specialist Registrar experience (desirable)
