Job Description

**Job Title:** Production Manager - Manufacturing Operations

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our manufacturing operations team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the effective and efficient production of our products, while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and mentor a team of production staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their roles effectively.
  • Develop and implement a rolling strategic plan for manufacturing operations, aligned with the company's overall business objectives.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations, working closely with the EHS Manager and Operations Manager.
  • Set and manage performance targets for direct reports, ensuring alignment with the company's vision of 100% on-time, in-full delivery.
  • Collaborate with other functions, including R&D, Customer Care, Commercial, Finance, and HR, to deliver outcome-focused solutions to business challenges.
  • Contribute to the development of the business, delivering quality products and processes that meet customer requirements.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance service and quality, while reducing costs and improving efficiency.
  • Manage supply chain relationships and ensure the timely delivery of raw materials and components.
  • Develop and implement manufacturing engineering strategies, including standard operations, plant layout, waste elimination, and continuous improvement.
  • Lead Lean Manufacturing initiatives in batch and continuous manufacturing environments.
  • Apply broad engineering technical skills and knowledge to implement solutions across a wide range of industries.
  • Develop and implement quality management systems that meet customer requirements.
  • Manage projects and changes, ensuring they are delivered safely, on-time, to budget, and to specification.
  • Develop and deliver the manufacturing plan, ensuring it is aligned with business objectives and budget.
  • Ensure delivery of best-in-class service and quality, meeting pre-defined standards.
  • Hold a recognized health and safety qualification, such as NEBOSH, or be working towards one.
  • Have a minimum of 5 years' experience working directly in a manufacturing environment.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with multiple priorities and deadlines.
