Worcestershire, United Kingdom LUCY FAITHFULL FOUNDATION Full time

About the Organization

The Lucy Faithfull Foundation is a prominent charity operating across the UK, dedicated to the prevention of child sexual abuse and exploitation. We pride ourselves on being innovative, courageous, and committed to growth, and we invite you to contribute to our mission.

Our primary focus is on safeguarding children by engaging with individuals who may pose a risk, guiding them away from harmful behaviors. We also provide support to those affected by abuse and collaborate with professionals to foster safer environments for children.

We operate the confidential Stop It Now helpline and manage Shore, a resource designed for teenagers.

Utilizing data and insights, along with our extensive experience, we create pioneering strategies and interventions aimed at making prevention a tangible reality.

We actively engage with policymakers and stakeholders to promote a public health approach to child sexual abuse.

Our goal is to disseminate our knowledge and understanding of child safety to the broadest audience possible.

Our core values guide our actions and ensure we fulfill our mission: we act with integrity, foster collaboration, embrace innovation, pursue ambition, and maintain hope.

About the Role

We seek a dynamic and skilled leader to enhance the effectiveness of our research efforts and to deepen our understanding of the impact we have on preventing child sexual abuse and protecting children from harm. It is crucial to gather data and insights that will enable us to refine our practices, building on successful strategies while adapting those that are less effective. This role will also involve demonstrating our impact to various organizations and government entities.

With the support of a dedicated team, you will provide the expertise necessary to align our initiatives with our strategic objectives, ensuring that all activities are informed by robust evidence and insights.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this position will empower us to learn from all facets of our operations, amplify valuable insights, and strengthen our evidence base regarding our contributions to creating a world free from child sexual abuse.

This role presents an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Research & Impact Director or an individual with substantial management experience in research, data, and impact who is ready to transition into a directorial position. We are also open to candidates with a clinical background who wish to maintain their clinical practice while fulfilling this vital role within the charity.

This is a pivotal new position within the organization, and the successful candidate will be tasked with developing our research, evaluation, and impact functions. Proven experience in analytical reporting and stakeholder management is essential to provide comprehensive evaluations and strategic recommendations to both internal and external audiences.

What We Offer

We provide a hybrid working model, allowing for a minimum of two days in the office, complimentary parking, a NEST pension plan, and 25 days of annual leave, increasing to 30 days after five years of service (in line with our leave year). Additionally, we offer up to five days of learning and development annually, an employee assistance program, and the option for medical coverage.

Application Process

Interested candidates are encouraged to complete the application form and equal opportunities form included in this pack. We look forward to receiving your submissions. Please note that the successful candidate will be required to undergo an enhanced DBS check for this position.

We are committed to fostering a positive environment where diversity is respected, and every individual feels valued for their contributions. Treating people fairly is central to our values and culture. As an inclusive employer, we welcome applications from all qualified candidates, regardless of their background.
