Job Description

Bennett and Game Recruitment LTD is seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will be working on a range of sectors including; residential, commercial, and industrial projects. In this position, you will be taking on projects at varying stages, from inception through to completion. The projects will vary in size, typically ranging from £500k to over £5m. The role will include traditional QS duties, contract administration, and project management.


Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing and using cost data derived from plans and drawings
  • Project timeline and program management
  • Undertaking feasibility studies and comparative design analysis
  • Producing estimates, budgets, and cost plans
  • Value engineering and cost-in-use studies
  • Preparing and interpreting turnover and cash flow projections
  • Providing cost control during pre-contract phases
  • Advising on different forms of contract and procurement routes

Requirements
  • Prior experience working as a QS (contractor or consultancy side)
  • Residential project knowledge is advantageous but not essential
  • Knowledge of JCT Contracts
  • Full UK driving license
  • Relevant Quantity Surveying Degree or similar (not essential if qualified via experience)
