As a member of the esteemed broking team at Stride Resource Management, you will act as a dealmaker, engaging with the market at various levels to provide optimal products, services, and solutions for both colleagues and clients.

This role has been established due to growth and the potential for advancement.

Primary Responsibilities:

External Broking and Insurer Engagement

  • Excel in the art of negotiation, collaborating with a diverse range of insurers across various branches and markets.
  • Employ both tactical and strategic approaches to secure the best solutions for large, complex, and challenging risks.
  • Your negotiation and relationship management skills will be crucial in obtaining favorable products, terms, and rates essential for attracting and retaining valued clients.

Internal Strategic Collaboration

  • Collaborate closely with sales and account management teams to enhance their business pipelines.
  • Your insights will be instrumental in identifying new business opportunities, ensuring alignment with both technical feasibility and insurer interests. Your proactive approach to managing challenging renewals will pave the way for successful outcomes.

Candidate Profile:

  • Ideal for an Account Executive, Account Handler, Broker, or Underwriter seeking greater autonomy in trading and business dealings – your background is less critical than your technical insurance knowledge and your ability to close deals.
  • Experience in market-facing roles, with trading experience at a broker or insurer (or similar) is essential.
  • You should possess strong negotiation skills, with a talent for building and maintaining mutually beneficial professional relationships.
