Job Title: Principal Structural Engineer

Job Type: Full-time

Location: London, UK

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Principal Structural Engineer to join our team at Strata Construction Consulting UK Ltd. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for overseeing project management and task execution on a daily basis, with limited supervision, to guarantee timely delivery within allocated budget and schedule, while upholding high standards of quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Effective communication with clients, fellow consultants, and team members to establish and uphold project objectives, fostering positive client relationships.
  • Mentoring junior team members is an integral aspect of this role.
  • Project management and financial control of small and medium-sized projects.
  • Designing structures in concrete, steelwork, timber, and masonry.
  • Proficient in structural software such as SCIA and Tekla Building Designer.

Requirements:

  • BA or MSc in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
  • A minimum of eight years' experience working for a UK design consultancy.
  • Experience in delegating and supervising junior team members.
  • Professionally qualified with ICE or IStructE (desirable not essential).
