Gigafactory Operations Manager

AESC UK is seeking a highly skilled Process Engineer to join our Engineering team in Sunderland. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in supporting current production and the development and operation of our world-class Gigafactory.
Key Responsibilities- Represent the engineering department in all aspects of the project, from initial phase to mass production.
- Lead the development of a manufacturing zone, working within a multi-disciplined team.
- Develop processes from design to integration and implementation, attending design reviews and working with equipment suppliers.
- Set and measure process performance, agreeing quality strategies to achieve KPI and quality targets.
- Provide and approve process engineering documentation necessary for standard operations.
- Plan, schedule control, and project management, including procurement of production facilities and processes.
- Technical degree or certificate in a relevant field.
- Good communication and report writing skills.
- Computer literacy, including MS Project and Excel.
- Able to demonstrate a positive and logical attitude, with good negotiation skills.
- Planning, schedule control, and project management skills.
- The capacity to quickly learn and absorb new technologies.
- Experience in complex technical manufacturing processes and/or special purpose assembly machines.
- Previous experience in high-volume manufacture, clean/dry room experience preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of current legislation on machinery standards.
- Experience working within APQP, IAFT framework desirable.
