We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our team as a Head Housekeeper. As a key member of our domestic services team, you will play a vital role in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene within our care homes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily cleaning and maintenance of our care homes, ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.
  • Lead and manage a team of domestic and laundry staff, providing guidance and support to ensure they meet their responsibilities.
  • Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules and rotas to ensure efficient use of resources.
  • Collaborate with the Home Manager to ensure compliance with infection control and COSHH policies.
  • Conduct regular appraisals and performance reviews for domestic and laundry staff, identifying areas for development and improvement.
  • Manage stock levels and supplies, ensuring adequate resources are available to meet the needs of the team.
  • Ensure all cleaning equipment and materials are maintained and stored safely.

Requirements:

  • Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to meet the needs of the business.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
