Job Title: Stores Handler/Packer (Fixed Term Contract)

Department: Supply Chain

Location: Almondbank, Perth

Line Manager: Warehouse Team Leader

Role Overview:

The Stores Handler/Packer plays a crucial role in providing logistical, material handling, and warehouse support to ensure the operational needs of both internal and external customers are met in accordance with established Service Level Agreements (SLA's).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently collect, pack, and dispatch goods from the Despatch area, adhering to industry best practices.
  • Engage in various activities within the Supply Chain department, including Warehousing, Stock Control, and Material Control.
  • Accurately receipt materials into stock and update the relevant Business ERP System within set timelines.
  • Maintain precise tracking and recording systems to ensure accountability.
  • Facilitate the issuance and delivery of stock according to planned requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPI's).
  • Verify that all necessary documentation and certifications accompany received goods.
  • Conduct routine stocktaking and random checks as directed to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Follow all risk assessments and internal protocols when handling Dangerous Goods.
  • Manage the collection, recording, and processing of Serviceable and Unserviceable returns effectively.
  • Contribute to Continuous Improvement initiatives within the Supply Chain.
  • Uphold good housekeeping practices within your area of responsibility.
  • Ensure clear and concise communication, escalating issues to the Line Manager when necessary.
  • Accurately record data required for maintaining KPI's in a timely manner.
  • Participate in training and on-the-job development to enhance your role within the Supply Chain.
  • Undertake additional tasks in support of the business as required.
  • Adhere to Quality Management Systems (QMS), Safety Management Systems (SMS), and Environmental Management Systems (EMS) along with all related Business Manuals.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Proven ability and experience in storage and handling of engineering or aerospace components.
  • Knowledge of aerospace quality procedures is advantageous.
  • Forklift license preferred, or willingness to undergo training.
  • Familiarity with Dangerous Goods handling, or willingness to receive training.
  • Essential experience in a warehouse or packing environment.
